Basketball shoot

Shooting basketball is a game of confidence and trust.
If the player-three possesses these two characteristics, he has the foundations to develop into a scorer. Nobody is born a shooter. This is done through hard work in training.
The experience of a basketball player shows when in the game he knows when the best conditions are to get a shot attempt and when not.

Shooting, like other basketball skills, is a habit. Once a player has mastered the technique, he must practice regularly to keep his scores high.

Today we know that daily practice brings confidence and accuracy into the player’s hands.
Practice leads to confidence.
Confidence leads to success.
Success in turn leads back to confidence.

The shot in basketball, the way basketball players throw the ball into the basket.
How did they start?
How did the “shoot” efforts go?
In all these 132 years since the day Naismith and Gallic introduced the new sport to their students, there have been people who changed the course of the sport.

Kenny Sailors was the one who presented in 1934 the jump shoot technique as we know it today. The techniques were preceded by the following players:

In 1932 John Cooper introduced the jump shot, but with a two-handed release of the ball.

In 1934 Hank Luisetty the one-foot hop shot and one-handed release.

In 1934 Joe Folks copied a bit of Sailors’ technique.
He made the shot but held the ball longer with both hands.
At the last moment he released with one hand.

In 1934 Belus Smawley also introduced the back to the basket and the turn around jump shot.
