In May 2025, I had the honor of participating as a speaker at the 33rd International Congress of Physical Education and Sport Science in Komotini, Greece. My presentation focused on the pioneering work of Special Basketball Education, a methodology I developed to promote inclusion, skill development, and emotional growth for children and youth with intellectual disabilities and autism spectrum disorders.
During my session, I shared both the theoretical framework and the practical applications of this approach, highlighting the transformative power of sports when guided by empathy, structure, and specialized pedagogy.
Through real-life examples, video demonstrations, and impact analysis, I invited fellow educators, coaches, and researchers to embrace a more inclusive vision of physical education—one where every child is given the chance to belong, to grow, and to shine.
