We had great fencing time yesterday at the historical fencing tournament ‘Palaiologeian 2017’ in Piraeus. The organizers were the Educational Organization ‘Themistocles’, the Freifechter Guild Hellas and the Academy of Historical European Martial Arts ‘Leontes’.
At Long sword tournament winners were Aggelos Pileidis (gold), Panayiotis Papanikolaou (silver), John Dandoulakis and Michael Kalafatas (copper).
At Long sword chorography the winner was he who executes the chorography with better technique, control, balance, strength, breath control, tempo, kinaisthetic.
The winners were Panagiotis Papanikolaou (gold), Nicolaos Koubanoudakis (silver),Christopher Girtakis and Dimitris Statharas (copper).
At Byzantine saber the winners were Michael Kalafatas (gold), Aggelos Pileidis (silver), Georgis Karanisas and Anargyros Paltzoglou (copper).
